Current Work
I’m a PhD student supervised by Johannes Henn in the Quantum field theory group at the Max Planck Institute for Physics. My current research focuses on studying the structure of Scattering Amplitudes in perturbative gauge theories, such as pure Yang-Mills and Quantum Chromodynamics.
Before my PhD I did a master’s degree with João P. Silva and Jorge Romão in Beyond the Standard Model Phenomenology, more specifically Multi-Higgs Models, at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon.
Research Interests
I am broadly curious about physics, with particular current interests in:
- Scattering amplitudes: “The most perfect microscopic structures in the universe” - The surprising simplicity in the formulas for scattering amplitudes hinted at a reformulation of the physics in which the physical principles lead us towards rigid final results.
- Surfaceology and Stringy Integrals: A reformulation of scattering amplitudes in coloured theories which is inspired by integral representations for amplitudes in string theory. It led to completely novel insights into theories describing the real world such as pions (Non-linear Sigma model) and Pure Yang-Mills.
- Beyond the Standard Model phenomenology: The search and understanding of what could lie beyond the standard model.
